About the Founder
Home Decision Compass was founded by Shitala Prasad Kori, a civil engineer and former Chief Engineer with more than four decades of experience in civil works, infrastructure, project planning, construction oversight and interior design.
Based in Mumbai, India, he created this publication to apply practical engineering judgment to the questions homeowners face before spending money on repairs, improvements and major home projects. The publication serves a US audience by researching US costs, terminology, products, regulations and industry sources.
